About Us

This blog is going on 18 years old now. It started out as a blospot blog and now almost 17 years later, it’s evolved into a really great WordPress website that captures all my creativity around what it means to be a mom, how proud I am of my children and it’s also what taught me how to design and develop WordPress websites.

Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Ashley Bailey and I’m the mom to this adorable little girl named, Emma Christeel Bailey. Emma doesn’t realize it, but she started me down this path of web design and marketing all those years ago. But my path didn’t start traditionally by taking a coding class or something like that. I started doing web design projects because I started doing digital scrapbooking. And I started digital scrapbooking because Emma was 6 months old and she was eating and ripping all my paper that I was using to scrapbook the old-fashioned way. LOL! She was a “busy” girl!

I borrowed a copy of Photoshop from a family member who is also very artsy and talented. It was Photoshop version 6! I had a technical manual for Photoshop CS2 which was a little more current for the times. With all my hunting and pecking, I managed to teach myself graphic design, Photoshop, and photography. I mean, I had to capture all those cute faces my little Emma was making.

**What she can do with her expressive eyes is unbeatable and it’ll melt your heart into a thousand pieces.**

During Emma’s formative years, I got to enjoy staying home with her, running a web design agency and take her to a million places and adventures along the way. It was the greatest privilege and “job” of my life – one I’ve taken as seriously as I can. I even taught at her private school just so I could stay close with her a little longer.

So, here we are all those years later. I’m still designing websites, taking and editing photos and now Emma’s just about all grown up and she’s on the path to follow in my footsteps. She’s actively applying to SCAD in Atlanta. 🙂 I guess she doesn’t like the beach as much as I do. Go figure!

**Somehow this Libertarian mom managed to raise a liberal daughter who doesn’t like the beach. Her Dad and I raised her independent like that.**

I can’t wait to see what happens in her life as she continues to pursue Jesus, all things art, reading and writing! I can’t say enough kind things about her because she’s my greatest treasure!!
