I took Emma to go get her shots and her six month checkup today. She is 17 lbs. 9 ozs. and 25 3/4 inches long. That means that she is in the 80% for her weight (she’s a chunk), and the 50% for her height (which is more hereditary). Her head growth is in the 70%, which means she is smart!!
Emma passed all tests with flying colors. She can have a more varied menu now including meat and fresh fruits. You put the fruit in these little mesh bags and let them suck on it. It makes for a great teether and they don’t choke on pieces of fruit.
Emma did give me a heart attack today, though. She fell off the examining table onto the linoleum floor. I don’t even know how she did it because I was leaning over the table with my arms RIGHT beside her. Poor baby cried for a minute. But, I had Dr. Lowe check her and she said she was just fine. Good thing she has a lot of cushion!
Anyways, the visit went great and little Emma is full of personality now. She lets you know what she does and doesn’t want. She will fuss and fuss over peas (or any vegetable now) but will calm down the minute you give her cereal. So funny! I am so glad we have her in our lives.
